Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Our culture is increasingly going down the path of lewdness, and insubordination to authority, and can no longer discern truth from error.

Children are greatly affected by these considering that their innocent minds can be easily influenced by the wrong type of thinking.

Schools are not screened properly as to what subjects should be included in the curriculum.

I can still remember the subject matter of Darwin's Evolution as how we, as humans, came about and have primates as our ancestors. Even the Big Bang theory is still taught and accepted as how our world came into existence.

Can you imagine a world where there is order and balance in the heavens because of an explosion — a Big Bang? How the order of growth of plants and trees just a result of a cosmic fire in the sky

Really? How absurd that is.

Explosion never creates order. It always creates chaos and destruction.

So how do you explain the suspension of the sun, moon, and stars? Who holds them in place? It doesn’t take much to believe that there
really is a supernatural Being who holds these heavenly bodies together. This is easily found in Genesis, the first book of the Bible which tells the story of creation.

If the Bible is not held as the standard of truth, many can come up with different theories and explanations as to how things came to be that easily erode man’s thinking and are accepted as truth.

Truth is absolute and the Bible is the source of truth. The Bible is the standard source and authority of truth that we should base our belief on.

If God's Word is not allowed in schools, kids who are the next generation won't have a good understanding and will not be able to lead rightly for they won't have the right foundation.

So, what are we to do?

The answer is found in Deuteronomy 6:7 which says, “Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

And here are the
ways we can apply Deuteronomy 6:7 in our children’s lives.

Giving our kids the right foundational tool like the Bible is the ultimate resource for it is alive, and it is good for teaching and correction.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Training them up at a young age will pay dividends in the future and they will be a jewel to your crown.

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

And if you are worried that your kids will go the wrong way, cover them completely in prayer.

The Different Strategies to Train Kids in the Lord’s Way

1. Bring your kids to Sunday School every Sunday.

2. Enroll your kids in Daily Vacation Bible School during the summer.

3. Read Bible storybooks to your kids before bedtime.

4. Encourage them to memorize verses and read the Scriptures constantly.

according to their unique personalities and levels of understanding.

critical thinking and good management.

8. Encourage your kids to have good friends who will serve as their companions

and support groups in their later years.

9. Make sure that you teach NOT only in words but also do them in action for

real-life applications speak volumes in your kids’ eyes.

10.Constantly check how you speak and act towards your spouse and to the rest

of your household members, for the Jesus you teach in front of your kids, is

the only Jesus they can see that is in you.

Lastly, bind God’s Word in your heart and mind and serve the Lord as a family.
